Living a Healthy Life
Why is Primary Care So Important?
A Primary Care Provider (PCP) is someone you can trust when talking about all aspects of your health. Scheduling regular checkups with your PCP identifies unanticipated health issues in their early stages, so you can avoid a trip to the emergency room. Let us help you with a comprehensive evaluation that will help you take steps toward living your healthiest life.
Family Medicine Capabilities
Preventive health care can help you asses your risks for certain conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Annual checkups, preventive screenings and immunizations help you maintain your health and prevent minor issues from worsening.
Whether you have commercial health insurance, Marketplace insurance, Medicare, Medicaid or CHIP, preventive care is often covered by your health plan. Learn about covered preventive services.
Our primary care physicians offer urgent care to patients seeking treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit the closest hospital emergency room. Common illnesses and injuries that we treat include but aren’t limited to:
- Broken bones, fractures or sprains
- Cuts or lacerations
- Sore throat
Thomas Hospitals offers a variety of behavioral services for children and adults suffering from depression, including diagnosis, therapy, referrals and more. Our team of providers are trained to help patients with mental health needs find the right course of treatment for them.
Chronic care management offers comprehensive care and additional help to patients with Medicare who suffer from two or more chronic conditions. Our program connects patients with a Primary Care Provider who knows you and your history, so you can better manage your care and focus on your health.
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
