The MonaLisa Touch® is an innovative laser procedure for women suffering from changes to their gynecological health due to declining estrogen and vulvar dystrophy. These patients include women who:
- are post-menopausal
- have had a hysterectomy
- have thickened or thin skin on the vulva
- have experienced a decrease in estrogen
How it works
This simple and safe procedure works by delivering fractional CO2 laser energy to the vaginal tissue to revitalize vaginal mucosa cells, so they can make more collagen, an essential ingredient in vaginal cell health.
The procedure is performed in an office environment, without the need for anesthesia and with minimal pain or side effects.
If you would like to discuss this option with a member of our Obstetrics and Gynecology team, schedule an appointment by calling 855-WVU-CARE (855-988-2273).
