Making smiles shine brighter
Prosthetic dentistry focuses on improving and repairing the appearance and health of patients with missing teeth. Prosthodontists can assist patients with dentures, tooth loss, oral cancer, and much more. They can also help improve your smile with veneers, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges, and dental implants. Prosthodontists are skilled in oral health diagnosis and can restore your smile so that it’s as bright as ever.
What is a prosthodontist?
Prosthodontists are licensed dentists who have advanced training improving the appearance and health of patients with missing teeth. Prosthodontists have completed four years of dental school and three years of advanced prosthodontic training. WVU Dental Care offers two treatment clinics with care from either WVU dental faculty or WVU graduate dentists. Our graduate dentists, who are currently in advanced training, provide treatment under the oversight of our experienced, board-certified faculty.
When should I see a prosthodontist?
You should see a prosthodontist if you want to improve the quality of your dental appearance and functionality. If you have damaged or worn teeth, a prosthodontist can help restore a tooth’s appearance. They can also use a variety of modern, advanced techniques to replace missing teeth. If you want to learn more about dental implants or dentures, make an appointment with a prosthodontist.
