This conference is designed to address the wide range of clinical findings associated with the care of patients with spinal conditions, including the history and physical exam, spine imaging, treatment of spine pain and operative indications, non-surgical treatment options, and advances in medication treatment of spine pain. Lecture format and case presentations will provide the attendee with take-home strategies for the improved evaluation and treatment of patients with these conditions.
This conference will educate physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, and chiropractors on advances in treatment of spine pain.
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe standard of care and multi-disciplinary treatment modalities for low
- Discuss chronic pain management strategies and the use of medical
marijuana for chronic pain
- Discuss causes of spine pain
- Discuss psychological and behavioral responses to spine pain and addiction
