The West Virginia University School of Medicine is at the heart of a high-tech medical center in a friendly university town. As part of West Virginia’s foremost institution of public higher education, we bring the highest level of medical knowledge to our state and region.

Highly skilled faculty in our Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health provide students with the academic foundation and clinical training they need to excel. Modern clinical facilities provide an outstanding environment for patient care, education, and research. A 10-year Master Plan calls for $250 million in campus improvements over the next decade, including major expansion of clinical, research, and educational facilities and infrastructure.

Our faculty, staff, and students are committed to serving the people of our state and region – through direct services to patients and communities; through partnerships with other agencies and organizations; and through a variety of efforts aimed at improving the health and well-being of our citizens.
