Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Clinic

We offer comprehensive treatment and support for children and families dealing with cerebral palsy and other conditions that cause spasticity, including traumatic injuries and congenital conditions.

Epilepsy Center and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s and the WVU Epilepsy Center offer state-of-the-art care for children and adults with seizure disorders. We have the only pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the state. Our rooms have special equipment that allows us to monitor your child’s condition. In addition to epilepsy, we treat other seizure disorders, including Angelman syndrome, Doose syndrome, and cortical dysplasia.

Neurodevelopmental Center

We provide outpatient therapy for children with disorders of the brain and central nervous system. We treat:

Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry

The pediatric neurology and behavioral medicine teams at WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s work together to treat neurobehavioral issues in children. We address issues that affect their behavior at school and at home, including headaches, chronic pain syndromes, and mood disorders. Psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers offer evaluation and treatment for children dealing with trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, and other mental health issues.

Brain and Spinal Cord Diseases

Brain and spinal cord diseases in children require highly specialized care. A collaborative team of experts works together to deliver excellent outcomes. The team includes board-certified pediatric neurosurgeons, orthopedists, nephrologists, complex care physicians, hematologists, oncologists, and many other providers.
