Comprehensive Cardiac Diagnostics and Testing
Comprehensive cardiac diagnostic and monitoring services offer a full range of testing to evaluate and monitor heart health. These services include cardiac imaging, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, stress testing, echocardiogram, Holter monitoring, and EKG.
- Our cardiac imaging specialists offer comprehensive, noninvasive diagnostic services for children with heart conditions. Advanced technology, such as echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and CT scans, provides detailed images to assess heart function accurately and guide treatment plans.
- Cardiopulmonary Exercise and Stress Testing services provide specialized evaluations for children with heart and lung conditions. We can diagnose potential issues and tailor treatment plans by assessing how the heart and lungs respond to physical activity.
- A transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) is a noninvasive imaging test that uses ultrasound waves to create detailed images of the heart. This test allows us to examine the structure and function of the heart, including the chambers, valves, and surrounding blood vessels. TTE helps diagnose a wide range of heart conditions, such as congenital heart defects, valve issues, and heart function abnormalities, providing essential information for developing personalized treatment plans for your child.
- A Holter Monitor is a portable device that continuously records your child’s heart rhythm over an extended period, typically 3 to 14 days. Worn during daily activities, it provides a comprehensive view of the heart’s electrical activity, helping detect irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, or other issues that may not appear during a standard EKG. This extended monitoring period allows for more detailed insights into your child’s heart health, aiding in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
- An Electrocardiogram (EKG) is a simple, noninvasive test that records the heart’s electrical activity. It helps detect heart rhythm irregularities, monitor overall heart function, and identify conditions such as arrhythmias or signs of heart disease. The EKG provides valuable, real-time information that aids in diagnosing heart problems and guiding treatment decisions for your child’s heart health.
Cardiac Catheterization
Our interventional cardiac catheterization specialists offer advanced, minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat congenital heart conditions, ensuring precise care with faster recovery times and reduced risk.
Our pediatric cardiac catheterization specialists provide a comprehensive range of advanced, minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat congenital heart conditions. These procedures offer safer options with quicker recovery times and reduced risks compared to traditional surgery. They allow us to intervene with precision and care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our young patients.
In addition to diagnostic catheterizations, we offer a variety of nonsurgical treatments for heart conditions. Our team also performs interventions such as balloon angioplasty and stent placement to open narrowed arteries and veins, valve replacements, and device closures for atrial septal defects (ASD), ventricular septal defects (VSD), and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). These catheter-based procedures minimize the need for traditional surgical interventions, enhancing patient safety and comfort.
Whether treating simple or complex heart defects, our goal is to provide cutting-edge, minimally invasive care that promotes faster healing and improves the quality of life for our pediatric patients.
