At WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s, our pharmacy team is here to make sure every child gets the safest and most effective care possible. From the moment you arrive until you head home, we work alongside your child’s doctors and nurses to support their health and comfort.
Inpatient Pharmacy
When your child is in the hospital, our inpatient pharmacy team works around the clock to make sure medications are prepared and delivered on time. We partner closely with your care team to choose the right medicines, monitor doses, and keep everything as safe as possible.
Infusion Center Pharmacy Support
Our pharmacists provide specialized support for children receiving infusion therapies, ensuring medications are prepared accurately and safely. We work closely with infusion nurses and physicians to monitor therapy and adjust treatment as needed.
Little Mountaineer Pharmacy
Located in the lobby of WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s, the Little Mountaineer Pharmacy makes it easy to get the medications your child needs before you leave or during your appointment. We’re here to help with:
- Filling prescriptions
- Explaining how to give medications at home
- Working with your insurance
- Suggesting over-the-counter options
Hours: Monday-Friday: 9 am – 5 pm, Saturday-Sunday: Closed
Meds to Beds Program
Heading home from the hospital can feel overwhelming, so we want to make it as smooth and safe as possible. Our Meds to Beds program brings your child’s prescriptions right to their room before you leave, so you don’t have to make an extra stop. This ensures you go home with everything you need and that you understand how to use it.
Other WVU Medicine Pharmacies On Site

Meet Our Team
Our clinical pharmacists are specially trained to care for your children. You may not always see them, but they’re working hard behind the scenes – and often right at the bedside or in the room during appointments – to make sure every medication is safe and effective.
Our pharmacists are actively involved in many areas of care, including:
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
- General Pediatrics
- Obstetrics (OB)
- Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
- Inpatient and Outpatient Hematology & Oncology
- Cystic Fibrosis Clinic
- Infectious Diseases
- Outpatient Neurology & Nephrology Clinic
Our clinical pharmacy technicians are often among the first to greet you when your child is admitted. They take time to learn about your child’s medications at home, helping us to prevent mistakes and keep your child’s care safe and consistent.
Pharmacy Residency
WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s is training future pediatric pharmacy specialists through our pharmacy residency program. Residents learn alongside and as a part of our team in areas like intensive care, oncology, and medication safety. This program helps us to continue providing the best care for children today and for years to come.
