Jefferson County Community Ministries, Shenandoah Community Health, and WVU Medicine announce new collaborative initiative to strengthen community health and support services
Ribbon-cutting event marks opening of community-centric healthcare, more in Jefferson County
RANSON, W.Va., — Jefferson County Community Ministries (JCCM), Shenandoah Community Health (SCH), and WVU Medicine are proud to announce a new collaborative partnership designed to expand access to essential health care, social services, and wraparound support for individuals and families across Jefferson County.
This partnership brings together three trusted community institutions with a shared mission: ensuring that every neighbor — regardless of income, housing status, or circumstance has easy access to compassionate, high‑quality care.
Through this collaboration, JCCM, SCH, and WVU Medicine will coordinate services to reduce barriers and streamline support. The initiative includes on-site medical access for Jefferson County residents through coordinated clinic hours and referral pathways, integrated case management connecting individuals to medical care, behavioral health, housing support, and basic needs, and improved continuity of care for individuals experiencing barriers to health care access.
“This partnership reflects the heart of Jefferson County — neighbors coming together to ensure no one falls through the cracks,” said Brooke Grossman, executive director of JCCM. “By aligning our strengths, we can provide more consistent, trauma‑informed support to the people who need it most.
Leaders from JCCM, SCH and WVU Medicine emphasized the importance of meeting people where they are during the ribbon-cutting event at the new clinic at 202 Racetrack Street, in Ranson, on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
"SCH is proud to partner with JCCM and WVU Medicine. We think healthcare is most effective when it is easily accessible, coordinated, and grounded in respect and dignity," says Todd Lockcuff, CEO of Shenandoah Community Health. "Working in partnership with JCCM offers SCH another way to reach individuals who often face the greatest barriers to regular healthcare."
“This new collaborative clinic is our mission in action. We’re focused on meeting patients where they are and delivering the care they need, quickly, locally, and with a commitment to affordability and access,” said Nicole Dollison, CEO, WVU Jefferson Medical Center, adding that this clinic is the first of its kind in Jefferson County.
