BUCKHANNON, W.VA. – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognized National Nutrition Month, celebrated annually in March, and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Day, observed March 8.
National Nutrition Month is an opportunity to promote the importance of making informed food choices and developing healthy habits for eating and physical activity. This year’s theme was “Fuel for the Future” and highlighted the importance of fueling our bodies at every age, eating with environment in mind, and practicing gratitude for your body.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day focuses on RDNs and their commitment to their patients, families, and communities. The Hospital would like to acknowledge Kelly Povroznik, M.S., R.D., L.D., registered dietitian at St. Joe’s.
