WVU Medicine Camden Clark Fundraising Effort Receives $50,000 from Tri State Roofing & Sheet Metal Company.
Parkersburg, WV-based company’s donation enables hospital to purchase new UV light-based germ zapping robot.
(Parkersburg, WV) – A fundraising effort at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center has been boosted by a substantial donation from Parkersburg, WV-based Tri-State Roofing & Sheet Metal Company. The $50,000 gift is made possible through their Spartan Foundation.
“We are proud to contribute to the health and safety of patients and staff at WVU Medicine Camden Clark, especially now, and to give back to an organization that has been the healthcare provider to the Mid-Ohio Valley community we both have served for nearly a century,” said Jason Lewis of Tri-State Roofing & Sheet Metal Company.
The WVU Medicine Camden Clark dollar match fundraising campaign has been underway since May with a goal to facilitate the hospital’s purchase of additional XENEX Light Strike Germ-Zapping Robots. These state-of-the-art UV light-based cleaning machines offer the first disinfection system of its kind to deliver intense germicidal action proven to deactivate the SARS COV-2 (Covid-19) virus.
“We greatly appreciate the support from Tri-State and the spirt of its donation. This contribution is the largest made in this campaign, and has helped us accelerate the acquisition of another XENEX unit,” said Steve Altmiller, President and CEO of WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. “Providing excellent healthcare to the communities we serve is our highest priority, and this generous gift allows us to continue those efforts by adding another of these one-of-a-kind disinfection devices.”
This donation, along with the many other generous community and individual contributions received, will be doubled through a dollar-for-dollar match by the Camden Clark Foundation’s employee campaign fund and enables the organization to continue ensuring a safe, protective environment for its patients, staff, and the community.
