WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation’s Pink Cupcake Run/Walk October 7th to raise funds for Pink Mammogram Fund

WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation’s 3rd Annual Pink Cupcake Run/Walk will be Sunday, October 7th at 2 p.m. at Point Park Marketplace in Parkersburg, WV.

This event is a 3-mile fun run/walk featuring three cupcake stations. Registration and the start and finish line are located in the Point Park Marketplace parking lot in Parkersburg. The first 100 registrants receive t-shirts and swag bags! A picnic will be provided by Sodexo for event participants following the event.

The 3-mile route includes Avery and Market Streets. All proceeds from this event will be used to benefit the Pink Mammogram Fund to pay for area residents who are uninsured or underinsured to receive free screening mammograms, diagnostics and ultrasounds, stereotactic breast biopsies and genetic testing. Nearly 1000 procedures have been provided during the past eight years for area residents through the Pink Mammogram Fund, which was established by WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation in 2010.

“It's the sweetest race in town, and the biggest benefit is that it’s helping those right here in our community,” said Kim Couch, executive director of the Foundation

Registration cost is $30 through September 30th and late registration is available online until October 4th for $35 through Raceroster.com. Participants can register on event day for $35 beginning at 12:00 noon until the race begins at 2 p.m. If you have any further questions, call Executive Director Kim Couch at 304-424-2200 or email her at kim.couch@wvumedicine.org.
