6th annual event is September 7th to help area residents

WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center will present its 6th Annual Pink by Poolside Charity Event to support the Camden Clark Foundation’s Pink Mammogram Fund Friday, September 7, 2018, from 7:00-11:00 p.m.

The Pink by Poolside event is sponsored by the Camden Clark Foundation and hosted by Dr. Abdi and Manijeh Ghodsi at their home at 5201 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, WV, 26105.

All proceeds from this event will be used to benefit the Pink Mammogram Fund to pay for area residents who are uninsured or underinsured to receive free screening mammograms, diagnostics and ultrasounds, stereotactic breast biopsies and genetic testing. Nearly 1000 procedures have been provided during the past six years for area residents through the Pink Mammogram Fund.

Tickets are $100 per person, which is the Foundation’s cost of providing one (1) mammogram. A limit of 250 tickets are available.

Guests will receive Cuisine by Seven Local Caterers:

Lui Lui Restaurant
Parkersburg Brewing Company
Parkersburg Country Club
Grand Pointe Conference & Reception Center
Special Occasions Catering
Sodexo - WVU Medicine CCMC
Valley Catering

The Pink by Poolside venue will be beautifully decorated by Crown Florals, where guests will enjoy

  • Signature Cocktails and Complimentary Bar Service

  • Live Entertainment and Dancing at Club Pink sponsored by Park Shopping Center.

  • A “Punch Out Cancer” board fundraiser with guaranteed prizes for every $20 donation!

Executive Director Kim Couch said this is a wonderful event each year that solely supports the Pink Mammogram Fund.

“At the end of the day, it’s really about providing free services that are needed by folks in our community who cannot afford preventative care on their own,” Couch said, “so we try to take away all of those barriers through raising funds through a great party at the Ghodsi’s home, and we could not be more grateful for their generosity of opening up their home for this annual event!”
