After the past year we've had, we decided that it was best to award not one...but TWO 'Leader of the Year' awards! Lea Ann Steele, RN BSN, clinical nurse manager, is the Leader of the Year for Crisis Management and Operational Excellence. And Tracy Smith, RT(R), RDMS, RVT, director, Radiology and Vascular Lab, is the Leader of the Year for Departmental Development and Operational Excellence.
In 2020, Lea Ann led our COVID-19 nursing units, taking on additional responsibilities, while maintaining high employee engagement scores and low turnover rates for her units. Tracy developed new service lines, replaced equipment, and significantly improved her department’s employee engagement scores. These leaders are known for going above and beyond and are well-respected by their staff, peers, and providers. Congratulations Lea Ann and Tracy!
