WVU Cancer Institute to host Pink Party

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The WVU Cancer Institute is holding its annual Pink Party on Monday (Sept. 10) to benefit the Bonnie’s Bus Mobile Mammography Unit

Bonnie's BusThe event will be held at Bartini Prime in Morgantown and will feature live entertainment, food tastings, and auctions. The doors will open at 5 p.m., with live entertainment starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $100 and will be available at the door.

Bonnie's Bus is a mobile mammography unit that travels across West Virginia offering breast cancer screening in a comfortable, convenient environment. The Bus serves women who have private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, as well as those who qualify for the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program. Grant funds and donations are available for women without coverage so that no woman age 40 or over is ever turned away.

Since 2009, Bonnie’s Bus has provided more than 16,500 mammograms and has detected at least 75 cases of breast cancer.
