BUCKHANNON, WV – The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur recently presented a generous donation to the WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation for their 2021 Campaign for Women’s Health.
Funds raised from the campaign will be used to obtain a portable ultrasound unit for the Center for Women’s Health, provide fetal monitoring systems in St. Joseph’s Hospital Obstetrics department, and upgrade the rooms in the department to provide a more comfortable environment for moms, babies and family members.
The donation helped the Foundation reach their goal of $225,000 for the 2021 campaign.
“We greatly appreciate the support of the Rotary Club and its members,” John Haskins,St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation president, said. “They have been and continue to be a wonderful partner of the Foundation and the hospital.”
The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month with a presentation at each meeting. Currently, they are meeting virtually.
