BUCKHANNON, WV – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital recognized Breast Cancer Awareness month by encouraging staff to wear pink on October 9th as part of an ongoing effort to support awareness of and education about breast cancer in women.
St. Joseph’s Hospital is dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their own breast health. Monthly self breast exams and annual mammograms are key to detecting and treating breast cancer in its earliest stages.
Staff gathered outside the main entrance for a group photograph to show their support of the national Breast Cancer Awareness month. Staff from the Center for Women’s Health at St. Joseph’s Hospital and from St. Joseph’s Hospital Imaging Department received wreaths in recognition of the month.
