Rosen elected to Board of American Association of Neurological Surgeons

Charles L. Rosen, M.D., Ph.D., chair and professor in the WVU Department of Neurosurgery was recently elected to serve on the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Board.

The AANS is the largest neurosurgical organization and is dedicated to advancing the specialty of neurological surgery in order to promote the highest quality of patient care.

Dr. Rosen’s responsibilities will include reporting on issues from the southeast quadrant of the United States, as well as acting as liaison for other neurosurgical societies such as the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgery (CNS). Rosen will also research and present items raised by other neurosurgical organizations that require action from the AANS. In addition, he will perform similar functions for the AANS Board with respect to the Information Technology Committee and the Section on History.
