MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU Healthcare Mountaineer Pharmacy opens on Monday, June 1. It is located at 390 Birch St. on the ground level of the new WVU Health and Education Building, directly beside WVU Urgent Care-Evansdale and WVU Student Health.
The full-service pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The location offers convenient on-site parking and easy PRT access.
“Mountaineer Pharmacy will offer competitive pricing and fast, friendly, and accurate service. This location will offer any patient, student, or WVU Healthcare employee a second convenient option when it comes to filling their prescriptions, with an overall goal to improve pharmaceutical care,” David Flynn, R.P.H., director of the Medical Center Pharmacy, said.
A variety of over-the-counter medications, private counseling with a pharmacist, and medication compounding are available. Most insurances are accepted.
The pharmacy offers prescription refills 24 hours a day, seven days a week by phone or online. Prescriptions can be picked up during regular business hours.
In addition, a 10 percent discount is available to WVU students and employees, WVU Healthcare staff, and senior citizens.
