Lefler Providing Primary Care

Potomac Valley Hospital would like to welcome David Lefler, MD to the Fort Ashby Medical Center. Beginning in October, Dr. Lefler became the primary care provider of the clinic, located in Fort Ashby Medical Center, leaving PVH’s ER after twenty years of service.

Lefler has been practicing medicine for almost 40 years. For over 20 of those years, he has been with Potomac Valley Hospital, serving as a physician in the Emergency Department. “We are excited to have Lefler serving as the primary care provider for the clinic in Fort Ashby. Coming from a background in Emergency Medicine, Lefler will offer many years of experience and is well suited for primary care services to the community,” says Mark Boucot, President and CEO of Potomac Valley Hospital.

Dr. Lefler earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his Family Practice Residency at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Over the years, he has worked for various hospitals throughout the state of West Virginia, as well as serve as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Family Practice for West Virginia University.

Dr. Lefler is now accepting new patients at the Fort Ashby Medical Center. He provides primary care services to patients of all ages. Those services include, but are not limited to: wellness visits, acute illness, school and sports physicals, Medicare wellness exams, and chronic disease management.
