Celebration to be held March 16 at participating locations

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – What better way is there to celebrate warmer temperatures and welcome spring than with a free ice cream cone? In honor of its 75th anniversary, Dairy Queen is hosting Free Cone Day on Monday, March 16, and collecting donations for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH).

On Monday, participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill and Chill locations will serve fans a free small vanilla soft-serve cone (limit one per customer) and request donations for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Nineteen locations in West Virginia and Ohio will collect funds for WVU Children’s Hospital at Ruby Memorial, the only CMN hospital in West Virginia.

Ice cream enthusiasts in Beckley, Bridgeport, Fairmont, Gassaway, Hurricane, Morgantown, Ravenswood, Reedsville, Ripley, St. Albans, Terra Alta, and Weston in West Virginia and Barnesville, Bridgeport, and St. Clairsville in Ohio can support WVU Children’s Hospital with their Free Cone Day donations.
