WVU Medicine Internal Medicine provides comprehensive primary care for adults and seniors, with a focus on diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, and joints, as well as the digestive, respiratory, and vascular systems. Our board-certified internal medicine physicians diagnose common or complex issues and can help you manage any chronic conditions you’re experiencing.

General internal medicine services range from health screenings, physical exams, and vaccinations to disease management of diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and more. We will help coordinate your medical needs and refer you to specialists when needed.

Geriatrics

Aging can sometimes bring on increased potential for illness and multiple health issues. Within the Internal Medicine specialty, some providers have special training in treating conditions common in older adults such as memory loss, diabetes, osteoporosis and Parkinson’s diseases.
