At the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, we’re taking steps to better serve you. We’re increasing our cardiovascular services and the number of experts providing care. Our new $200 million, 10-story tower on the Morgantown campus is now open.

Our team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, and thoracic surgeons provides everything you need for your heart and circulatory system – from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and recovery. We’re experienced at treating all kinds of heart and vascular conditions – from congenital heart issues and heart attacks to vascular disease – using both traditional and minimally invasive procedures. We perform more than 1,500 angioplasties and stent placements annually.

State-of-the-art Hybrid Operating Rooms

Patients requiring vascular or structural heart procedures at the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute have them performed in the Institute’s new hybrid operating rooms.

The rooms are part of an overall design scheme that streamlines inpatient and outpatient care for both patients and providers. Rather than have patient clinic appointments, diagnostic imaging and lab work, and procedures performed in three different places, the design of the tower allows all of those visits to happen in one building.
