At the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, we focus on the whole patient, not just an area of the body. That’s why we’ve created the Centers of Excellence. Our team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, and thoracic surgeons provides everything you need for your heart and circulatory system – from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation and recovery.

We’re experienced at treating all kinds of heart and vascular conditions – such as congenital heart issues, heart attacks, and vascular disease – using both traditional and minimally invasive procedures. We perform more than 1,500 angioplasties and stent placements annually.

Our physicians are working together to improve heart and vascular care in the state and beyond. To give you access to our physicians closer to home, we’ve increased our heart and vascular outpatient clinics throughout West Virginia, with clinics in Morgantown, Bridgeport, Parkersburg, Fairmont, Elkins, Glen Dale, Grafton, and Keyser. We also see patients at clinics in Oakland, Maryland, and Connellsville, Pennsylvania.

We’re always taking steps to better serve you. We’re increasing our cardiovascular services and the number of experts providing care. Many of these services are housed in our new $200 million, 10-story tower on the Morgantown campus.

Our goal is to further transform WVU Medicine into a destination for people who are facing the most complex heart and vascular conditions.
