WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center (CCMC), the leading regional medical center of the Mid-Ohio Valley, today announced that Reinnie Leavitt was named Director of Cancer Services at the WVU Cancer Institute Camden Clark Comprehensive Regional Cancer Center.

Her expanded role now includes responsibility for strategic planning, program development, recruitment and retention and integration of the medical and radiation oncology medical teams locally. Leavitt will also maintain collaborative working relations with key physician and hospital leaders throughout WVU Medicine, the Cancer Institute and West Virginia University’s School of Medicine.
“I want to congratulate Reinnie as she assumes this new role. It has been a privilege to have known her since she first joined the Cancer Program as she has been an asset to Radiation Oncology,” said Dr. Nik Shah, Medical Director, Cancer Program/Medical Oncology. “Her leadership and management style will bring our cancer program to a whole new level. I look forward to working with her in this new leadership role.”
Leavitt began her career at Camden Clark in 1991 as a staff radiation therapist and has spent the past 17 years here dedicated to cancer care. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and is board certified from the Ohio State University School of Radiation Technology.
“I am passionate about the CCMC Cancer Program and look forward to expanding my current responsibilities to provide leadership support for enhanced collaboration of existing services and continued growth in the years ahead,” said Leavitt. “Together with WVU Cancer Institute, our hospital leadership team, a highly experienced and well respected group of oncology physicians and a stellar team of diverse staff, I am privileged to be part of an exciting future for cancer care in the Mid-Ohio Valley.”
