Credentialing Coordinator/Administrative Secretary
Full Time
Hours: Day shift

Responsible for the efficient operation of the medical staff office for Barnesville Hospital and Harrison Community Hospital.

Responsible for assisting in the overall clerical and administrative support of the functions and responsibilities of the Quality/Medical Staff Services offices and other areas and locations as directed.

  • Quality Assessment/Improvement: Supports the functions of the department through meeting attendance, minute taking and maintenance of minute books relevant to this area.
  • Medical Staff Services: Coordinates an effective appointment, reappointment and credentialing process to the Medical Staff by completing processing and preparing of all applications and other components for a complete credentialing process.
  • Survey Coordination and Compliance: Is knowledgeable and maintains all requirements set forth by regulatory agencies as they relate to the medical staff credentialing process. Provides clerical support for survey related information, as assigned.
  • Risk Management: Provides clerical and administrative support to the Risk Management program for Barnesville Hospital & Harrison Community Hospital.

Requirements: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum requirement of 5 years’ experience in an administrative setting. 3 years in the medical staff or human resources related field preferred. Previous medical staff credentialing preferred. CPCS certification preferred.

Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Full Time
Hours: 12 hour PM shifts, weekend rotation

Coordinates and provides professional nursing care to individuals or groups or patients with complex needs, according to established standards and practices. Nurses care for people who are sick, injured, convalescent or disabled. Under general supervision, they deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process or assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. ER Nurses provide care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.

Requirements: Ohio licensed Registered Nurse. Prefer one year of RN experience and ACLS/PALS certification, or willingness to complete. Able to function independently, prioritize, and possess critical thinking skills.

Emergency Department Technician

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities occurring on the nursing units by assisting patients with care, performing technical, clerical and receptionist duties, and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Requirements: Certified Medical Assistant preferred or an experienced Patient Care Assistant. High school diploma or G.E.D. Must possess good communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Must have the ability to function under stress and be CPR certified. Computer skills required.

Environmental Services Technician (two positions available)
Full Time (75 hours per pay)
Hours: Full-time, 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm shift 

Cleans all areas of the hospital and adjacent facilities, including carpeted and hard floor surfaces, according to hospital objectives, policies, and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment. Performs assigned grounds maintenance as needed. Performs project-related tasks and other duties within the department as assigned. Participates in the department’s continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to clean all areas of the hospital according to objectives, policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe environment and will participate in performance improvement. Position involves being able to work on a ladder, lift up to 50 pounds, lift and move furniture and walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Housekeeping or custodial experience in a healthcare environment desired, but will train if necessary.

Medical Assistant for Belmont Professional Associates
Full Time
Hours: Day shift, Monday – Friday

The medical assistant is responsible for coordinating patient flow, assisting the physician in the treatment of patients, and the appearance and maintenance of the patient area.

Requirements: Must be a graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, have BLS certification or willingness to complete, and be able to demonstrate good assessment and communication skills. Applicant must be able to work well with patients and staff, be detail oriented, be able to multi-task, have computer experience and be organized in a fast-paced environment. Experience with referrals and prior authorizations, one year of office and prior EHR experience preferred.

Patient Care Assistant
Full Time (72 hours per pay)
Hours: PM shift, weekend rotation
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities occurring on the nursing units by assisting patients with care, performing technical, clerical and receptionist duties, and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Requires the ability to lift, bend and do repetitive tasks, and involves direct patient care. Previous PCA or ER Tech experience preferred.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy and licensed and registered in the State of Ohio. Previous hospital pharmacy and retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Pharmacy Technician
Part Time (40 hours per pay)
Hours: Day shift, 7:30 am – 4 pm; weekend rotation

Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Applicants should have clerical and computer skills, be able to understand math concepts, and have knowledge of medical terminology. Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience desirable.

Registration Clerk
PRN
Hours: PRN; Days or Afternoon shifts, may include weekend or holidays

Responsible for correct registration of patients into the hospital system, distribution of appropriate forms and notices, checking medical necessity criteria and authorizations for services. Scans patient information into system, operates switchboard, performs cashier duties, and central scheduling duties as applicable. Performs technical and reception duties and maintains the physical environment of the emergency department as applicable.

Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, work well with the public, have previous customer service experience, be detail oriented, possess computer knowledge, be able to multi-task, and be able to take appropriate and effective action in a stressful environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurances and previous office experience are preferred.

Registered Nurse – MED/SURG
Full Time 72 hours per pay (0.9 FTE)
Hours: 12 hour shifts, weekend rotation
Coordinates and provides professional nursing care to individuals or groups or patients with complex needs, according to established standards and practices. Provides leadership by working with all personnel to assure quality patient care is provided.

Requirements: Graduate of approved school of nursing and currently licensed by the Ohio State Board of Nursing. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, have the ability to make independent judgments, be able to prioritize and provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit. ACLS certification, or willingness to obtain, is required.
