Addiction Services

WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital supports adults struggling with substance use disorders through medically managed outpatient withdrawal stabilization. Behavioral counseling paired with medically assisted treatment is critical to recovery and is required to receive addiction services.

Individual, group, and intensive outpatient counseling are offered at Crossroads Counseling Services, and withdrawal management is provided at Barnesville Family Medicine at the Barnesville Medical Center.

Non-addictive, medication-assisted treatment is used for adults struggling with addiction to opioids, heroin, Suboxone, or Subutex to assist with the physical cravings for drugs and/or alcohol.

Outpatient addiction services are available Monday through Thursday from 8 am – 4:30 pm for anyone who needs assistance with withdrawal management, by appointment only.
