MitraClip (TMVR) at the WVU Center for Mitral Valve Disease

For patients with mitral valve disease unable to endure open heart surgery, the MitraClip or Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR) is giving them new hope. The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute is one of only seven hospitals in the country performing this minimally invasive procedure.

Vinay Badhwar, MD, FACS, FACC, is a board-certified surgeon whose clinical interests include cardiothoracic surgery and cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Badhwar has completed clinical fellowships in cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Michigan, the University of Ottawa, and McGill University.
