Basic Function of Position: Provides professional nursing care for office patients using and following established standards; practices consistent with both Office and Hospital policies. Position consists of both clinical and non-clinical duties, listed below; this is a non-inclusive list. The nurse is part of a team of caregivers who work with various physicians depending on the demands in the office, being a team player is essential. Coordinates and oversees all nursing activities for physician office.
Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care in accordance with the policy and procedures, philosophy and mission. Develops, implements and supports strategies for the delivery of quality patient care based on the requirements of the medical service while achieving positive patient relations in a teaching environment. Ensures staff provides quality, effective care consistent with relevant policies, procedures and access and service standards. Monitors and evaluates quality of care. Works closely with staff and peers to identify opportunities to improve patient care. Facilitates the development of departmental policies and procedures and ensures compliance. Promotes customer satisfaction in a professional, constructive manner. Ensures department is in compliance with applicable regulations, i.e., CLIA, OSHA, Medicare, etc. Collaborates with Medical Director to ensure program goals are established and achieved.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Three years of experience in a health care setting required; Two years of healthcare management/supervisory experience required. May be waived in lieu of significant relevant experience or accomplishments.
