Preventive Care, Well Visits, and Physicals

Well visits, also called an annual check-up or physical, provide an opportunity for you and your doctor to work together to keep your family healthy. By assessing your risks for diseases like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer, you can prevent health problems before they happen.

Well-visits often include:

  • Medical history
  • Physical exam
  • Health screenings
  • Health counseling
  • Immunizations

We recommend well-care visits at the following ages:

  • Two weeks

  • Four months
  • Six months
  • Nine months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 24 months
  • 30 months
  • Three years or more – annually
