PRT Operating Hours

The West Virginia University Personal Rapid Transit system is modernizating their system. Their hours of operation will vary based on vendor workflow.

Currently, the PRT is running on a normal schedule.

The PRT will not be in operation during the winter break from Thursday, Dec. 14 to Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. The PRT will resume normal operations Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018.

The West Virginia University campus service Blue and Gold Connector through the Mountain Line Transit Authority will be operational during the winter break with exceptions for Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Beechurst Express and Campus PM will not operate during the WVU winter break.

As part of this modernization effort, the PRT schedule change will provide additional time for the vendor to meet key milestone targets before the holidays.

The University will provide bus support during the suspended PRT hours.  Buses will operate on a continuous loop from 9:30 am to 5 pm to all PRT locations except for Walnut Street.
