maternalWVU Hospitals Maternal-Fetal Medicine program provides perinatal, genetics, and ultrasound services to pregnant women. We serve more than 350 women yearly, and more than 100 additional high-risk patients receive care through our outpatient services.

Our Commitment to You

We are strongly committed to providing care for the women of West Virginia and the surrounding region. Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine team is made up of:

  • maternal-fetal medicine specialists
  • a nurse practitioner, certified in high-risk perinatal nursing
  • a high-risk perinatal nurse coordinator
  • a genetics counselor
  • 3 ultrasonographers

Perinatal genetic services include targeted ultrasound and genetic amniocentesis. We also have our own on-site cytogenetics laboratory.

WVU Maternal-Fetal Medicine has an extensive outreach program with obstetrical consultation services to more than 20 hospitals in the region.
