The WVU Stroke Conference is presented by the WVU Medicine Stroke Center and the West Virginia University Health Sciences Office of Continuing Education.
The conference will be held May 18, 2018, at the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital Bruce McClymonds Conference Room in Morgantown, West Virginia, from 7:15 am to 4 pm.
This conference will feature an array of lectures on adult stroke including acute stroke intervention, management of acute stroke patients, stroke rehabilitation, research, telemedicine, and more. The WV OEMS will share its plan for the advancement of stroke care access across WV.
This conference is designed for physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, pharmacists, emergency medical personnel, rehabilitation specialists, and researchers with an interest in stroke care.
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Network and share best practice strategies for stroke care in WV
- Identify technological advances in acute care of the stroke patient and stroke rehabilitation
- Discuss the role of telemedicine for stroke care in WV
- Discuss surgical aspects of stroke care and advances in stroke neuro-intervention
The West Virginia University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The WVU Office of CME designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This continuing education activity has been provided by the West Virginia University School of Nursing for 7.4 contact hours. The West Virginia University School of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing education by the State of West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses, Legislature Rule §19CSR11-4 under provider number WV1996-0120RN.

for conference fees will be made after May 11, 2018. A $50 fee will be charged for all cancelled registrations.
We reserve the right to cancel individual sessions or the entire conference. In the event of a cancellation, a full tuition refund will be made.
