POSITION SUMMARY:  The Environmental Services Worker performs duties and responsibilities under the direction of the Environmental Services Director/Supervisor. He/she utilizes aseptic techniques and procedures by use of specialized equipment for cleaning and upkeep of delivery rooms, intensive care areas, operating and recovery rooms, and other assigned areas of the Hospital. Performs laundry duties utilizing aseptic techniques and procedures, including ironing and folding clean laundry. Performs washwheel duties in a safe and efficient manner through use of heavy-duty washwheel equipment specially designed for hospital use.

1. Previous housekeeping / laundry experience in a hospital setting preferred.

5. Perform all HOUSEKEEPING duties and responsibilities according to established policies and procedures as assigned.
6. Perform all LAUNDRY duties and responsibilities according to established policies and procedures as assigned.
7. Perform all WASHWHEEL OPERATOR duties and responsibilities according to established policies and procedures as assigned.
8. Report immediately to the Services Director/Supervisor any equipment malfunction or safety issues.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
