WVU Medicine recognizes employee service

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. – WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center, Jefferson Medical Center, and University Healthcare Physicians recently recognized 207 employees for their years of service at a celebration dinner held at the Hollywood Casino ballroom.

President and CEO Anthony P. Zelenka thanked the group for their dedication and service to both hospitals and the physician practices over the years. Years of service ranged from five years to 45 years. The honorees represented a total of 2,450 years of service.

Wanda “Sue” Jacobs was recognized for 45 years of service at Jefferson Medical Center. Employees honored for 40 years of service at Berkeley Medical Center included Edna Albright, Marjorie Beard, Stephen Christman, Christy Polak, Cynthia Santmier, and Linda Stotelmyer.

As part of the evening’s program, the 2017 Quality Service Award winners were announced for each hospital. Katie Crawford Lutman, ICU, was selected from the monthly QSA winners at Berkeley Medical Center. Daniel Woodruff, security, was named the QSA winner at Jefferson Medical Center from the quarterly winners.
