WVU Medicine Jefferson Internal Medicine opens in Ranson

RANSON, W.Va. -- WVU Medicine announces the opening of Jefferson Internal Medicine in Ranson. The practice includes Vikram Dayal, M.D., internist, and Alice Fens, P.A.-C., physician assistant. 

Dr. Dayal has been in private practice in Ranson since 1990. He is a graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College, University of Pune in India. He completed a pediatric residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., and an internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Dayal is board certified in internal medicine.

Fens holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Averett University in Danville, Va., and a master's in physician assistant studies from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. She is a certified physician assistant with more than 12 years of experience in a primary care practice.  

Dayal and Fens are both members of the Berkeley Medical Center medical staff. Dayal, who is also a member of the Jefferson Medical Center medical staff, is a clinical assistant professor for the WVU School of Medicine and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and serves as a preceptor for the Shenandoah University Physician Assistant Studies Program.
