The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center joins Technogym for 'Let’s Move for a Better World!'

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center is teaming up with Technogym, the world’s leading wellness and fitness company, to participate in the 2017 Let’s Move for a Better World challenge.

Technogym’s Let’s Move for a Better World challenge is the world’s biggest social campaign in the fitness industry against obesity and sedentary lifestyles. It enables gym-goers to do good for themselves and others by tracking exercise and collecting MOVEs.

Anyone exercising on Technogym equipment in participating fitness facilities across the country has the chance to collect a MOVE, which is Technogym's unit of measurement for movement. The Wellness Center has offered Technogym’s equipment since opening in 1999 and has decided to join the challenge.

The 2017 edition of this global campaign will be held March 13-31. As a participant, The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center will collect MOVEs from members to donate Technogym equipment to a non-profit organization to help fight obesity. The Center has chosen Berkeley County Schools as the recipient of the equipment.

Members of The Wellness Center can participate by joining the Let’s Move for a Better World challenge on the kiosk. Nonmembers are also welcome to participate by obtaining a seven-day free pass during the campaign dates and using the MyWellness app to sign up for the campaign and donate MOVEs.

For more information, stop by The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center or call 304-264-1232 for more information. MOVEs must be collected on Technogym equipment and cannot be manually entered.
