BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- St. Joseph's Hospital held graduation ceremonies on June 14 and 21 for the students enrolled in the West Virginia Junior Nursing Academy.
These students from the seventh and eighth grades joined professional nurses for four days to get a firsthand, behind-the-scenes look at the multi-faceted world of nursing. They rotated through different areas of St. Joseph’s Hospital shadowing nurses in various departments. They also received CPR training and basic first aid skills and learned about physical therapy and respiratory therapy.
