BUCKHANNON, WV – St. Joseph’s Hospital is celebrating National Hospital and Nurses’ Weeks May 6-12 with a variety of activities and events honoring hospital and nursing staff.
Mayor David McCauley signed a proclamation declaring May 6-12 of 2018 to be Hospital and Nurses’ Week in Buckhannon.
Hospital staff enjoyed theme-related activities for each day, including a bed-making race, a “Diaper Derby,” and a hospital “Cheer Contest.”
The theme for National Hospital Week is “Caring is our Calling,” and the theme for National Nurses’ Week is “Nursing -- It’s in Our Nature to Care.”
