More than 100,000 WVU Medicine patients manage their health needs with our secure, online patient portal, MyWVUChart. All you need is Internet access and an email address to use our easy, free, online system. There’s also a MyWVUChart mobile app for Apple and Android mobile devices.

MyWVUChart also uses the latest encryption technology to automatically protect your account, and unlike conventional email, all MyWVUChart messaging is done while you are securely logged on to our website.
How do you sign up?
WVU Medicine patients will be issued a MyWVUChart activation code during their clinic visit or you can sign up for an activation code online after your appointment. This code will enable you to log in and create your own username and password.

When will my doctor’s office reply to a message sent through MyWVUChart?
You will generally receive an answer within four business days. You’ll get an email notification that you have a new MyWVUChart message in your inbox. Please note that MyWVUChart should not be used for urgent situations. Contact your doctor’s office if the situation requires immediate attention or dial 911 if it’s an emergency.
How long does it take to get a prescription refill through MyWVUChart?

When are test results available through MyWVUChart?
Test results are released to your MyWVUChart account in about one to three days. Tests of a very sensitive nature are not released to MyWVUChart. If you do not see your test result, please contact your clinic for more information.
