MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Ninth Annual Froggy 99 Hop for Hope and the Z106 Cares for Kids Radiothon benefiting WVU Medicine Children’s will hit the airwaves live on Sept. 9.
WVU Medicine Children’s, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and Results Radio will host the radiothon at the Kroger store on Washington Boulevard in Belpre, Ohio, broadcasting live from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 9 and 10. Suddenlink is the title sponsor for this year’s radiothon.
Radio personalities will tell stories about children who have benefited from services provided by WVU Children’s. Patients are also scheduled to visit the radiothon to share their stories on air. In 2014, families from the Froggy 99/Z106 listening area turned to WVU Children’s more than 10,330 times and found hope and healing.
“Froggy 99 and Z106 point every year to the Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon as a highlight of giving back to the community,” Don Staats, Results Radio general manager, said. “We’re proud to be involved for the ninth straight year. We invite all of our listeners and sponsors to join us in helping kids all over the area.”
To date, the radiothon has raised more than $424,100 in support of WVU Children’s.
