Chestnut Ridge Center offers Grassroots Grants

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Chestnut Ridge Center at WVU Healthcare is seeking applications for its annual Grassroots Grants Program, which provides seed money for community projects relating to mental health, mental illness, substance abuse and dependence, or family preservation.
 
Grants of up to $1,000 each are open to any non-profit organization or group in West Virginia. Last year, grants were distributed to Milan Puskar Health Right, The MUSHROOM Project, Preston County Family Resource Network, Mental Health America, Northern West Virginia Council for Independent Living, One Unique Recovery House, Hall’s Neighbor House and Starting Points

Chestnut Ridge Center is a 70-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency facility staffed by WVU psychiatrists, psychologists and other professionals. It offers comprehensive residential, inpatient, partial hospitalization, outpatient and consultation services to adults, adolescents and children suffering from various psychiatric disorders.
