Cancer support group to meet Monday

Coping Together, a cancer support group, will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, July 24, in the BeBee Habig Room at WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital. The group, which meets the fourt Monday of every month, is open to anyone whose life has been impacted by cancer, including patients, survivors, family, and friends.

Alita Wellman-Ross, licensed massage therapist from Tranquil Touch Therapeutic Massage, will discuss the benefits of essential oils and will provide chair massages to who who request them.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Coping Together is offered thanks to the Reynolds Memorial Hospital Cancer Resource Center and a partnership with the American Cancer Society. The center offers a comprehensive library of information with trained volunteers to assist with all aspects of cancer – from prevention to early detection to treatment. Resources include booklets, brochures, and internet access.

The center provides free educational information, wigs, hats, breast prosthetics, mastectomy bras, and help locating financial assistance.
