Emergency Care

The Jackson General Hospital Emergency Department provides acute care services for patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. With a Level IV trauma center, adult and pediatric patients are seen for any cardiac, respiratory, trauma, or general medicine issues. Our goal is to deliver quick, effective diagnosis and treatment or transport for all patients. No one will ever be turned away for treatment regardless of insurance status.

The Emergency Department is staffed by board-certified physicians and highly-skilled nurses. All patients receive a medical evaluation performed by an emergency medicine physician, who orders any necessary lab or imaging testing to reach a diagnosis. We perform on-site lab and imaging testing, IV and respiratory therapy, invasive and non-invasive procedures, and provide infection control.

Emergency ground and air transport is provided. In the case of a medical emergency, please call 911.
