Cheat Lake Physicians is a leader in the Morgantown medical community with the efficient use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to provide an extra level of care for our patients.
- Electronic records are easy to read.
- All WVU Medicine clinicians have immediate access to your medical information, ensuring the most complete and efficient communication of your information across services.
- Automatic warnings for drug interactions, etc.
- Prescriptions are legible and faxed to your pharmacy.
- Shot records are updated quickly
Please monitor your medications to avoid a delay in refilling your prescriptions. We recommend that you check the status of your medications before each visit so that you can ask for refills while you’re in the office. Between visits, you can request a refill by calling us during regular office hours.
When calling the office, remember to have your pharmacy telephone number available for refills or new medications that may be prescribed. Please have an alternate pharmacy number available if your primary pharmacy is not open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Lab and Test Results
Please remember that most tests take 24-48 hours for results to come back. All results will be reported once we receive the information from the laboratories. You will be notified by postal mail of results. If you were asked to call or haven’t heard about your result(s), please contact us. Results cannot be obtained after hours and cannot be discussed with the on-call physician.
