Many cancer patients and survivors struggle with the changes in their appearance often caused by treatments or surgery. These changes can cause emotional and physical stress and are considered obstacles in their path to recovery. The WVU Cancer Institute’s Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center has the Boutique that caters to the needs of patients, providing help with these obstacles.

The Boutique is operated by HealthSource, located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Items available in the Boutique include:
- Free wigs
- Scarves, hats, and turbans
- Breast prostheses and post-mastectomy bras and camisoles (personal assistance with fitting is provided)
- Compression garments for upper and lower extremities
Personal assistance with fitting and/or measuring is also provided by certified fitter Sue Faloon.
The Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center Boutique is owned by WVU Hospitals. HealthSource receives no pay for running it, but does keep the proceeds from any products sold. For patients’ convenience, third-party insurances can be billed for some mastectomy and compression garments prescribed by treating physicians.
