WVU Medicine is proud to offer Live-Balanced, a confidential and comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to employees, members of their household, and their adult children up to the age of 26.  WVU Medicine is committed to providing accessible, quality healthcare for all employees, and considers the Live-Balanced program to be an important part of the benefits program to support your family’s health and well-being.

Live-Balanced is a free, fully employer-paid benefit for all benefit eligible employees. It is not tied to participation in any other insurance plan.  Physicians, residents, and WVU employees are eligible for WVU’s faculty and staff assistance program.

Counseling is offered over the phone or face-to-face depending on your preference. All EAP counselors are qualified mental health professionals. Some of the areas the EAP counselors can help with include:

  • Emotional well-being support, such as Stress management, Anxiety and depression, Work-life balance, Relationships and marriage, Self-esteem and personal development, etc.
  • Daily life assistance, such as child care, elder care, pet care, household services and more!
  • Legal and Financial matters, and more!

Services are confidential and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for counseling, consultation, appointment scheduling, and referrals at 1-800-865-3200
